Welcome to the Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) UA-cam Channel.
For fire emergencies, ring Triple Zero (000). This account is not monitored 24/7.
Fire and Rescue NSW's purpose is to enhance community safety, quality of life and confidence by minimising the impact of hazards and emergency incidents on the people, environment and economy of New South Wales. As one of the world's largest urban fire and rescue services, we manage fire emergencies in NSW's major cities and towns. We respond to rescues, hazardous materials incidents and possible terrorism activities across the State. We work with other government agencies to minimise the impact of bushfires, storms, floods, landslides, building collapses, motor vehicle accidents and other emergencies. We also run prevention and preparedness programs to prevent these emergencies and reduce their impact on the community.

Never use BBQs or outdoor heaters inside
Never use BBQs or outdoor heaters inside because they make carbon monoxide gas, which can kill without warning. Protect yourself and your family this winter: leave BBQs and outdoor heaters outside.
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that you can’t see, taste or smell.
- Some devices make carbon monoxide and should never be used indoors, including outdoor heaters and barbeques, tools with gasoline engines, portable generators and vehicle engines.
- Carbon monoxide poisoning often occurs when people use these outdoor devices indoors or in a closed space without enough air flow.
- Common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and weakness.
- People with more severe poisoning may faint or lose consciousness, and in some instances, suffer permanent brain injury or death.

For fucksake save 000 for real emergencies
Not my brain saying we've seen seen this before but then i realize its in Australia and not america-
Meh. Just keep a moist towel handy in a freezer bag with some anti-mold thrown in.
How damaged is the exterior concrete next door from the heat? Is the building still structurally sound?
can fire blanket be reused?
The instructions in the one we bought said it can't be reused
What kind of building it was, all the floors collapsed but the walls are intact.
Do NSW fire related departments research and educate on the risks and benefits of hazard reductions compared to Indigenous cultural burning?
Thanks so much for doing this
WoW
Interesting bit at the end saying you are obliged to follow road rules. Contradicts what we see many members of the public saying including those who claim to be emergency workers. It does however match advice of NSW Ambulance.
Wow
Good job

I was stationed at 37 stn during the mid 70s and late 80s there was a full size pool table and bench seats around the walls this was known as the pool room .The table was donated by the womens auxiliary fire service during the war for volunteers stationed there. In the 70s a permanent firefighter used to look after the tabble and room, he passed away after an illness. Nobody would venture in there at night because of odd noises occasionally the following morning the billiard balls would be found spread over the table. In 80s the staffing was increased and the room was required for other purposes. As the last retained firefighter had retired the pool table was allowed to be sold and the funds for the firefighters use.I am certain that it is the ghost of this firefighter.
😊
Is this in Caves Beach?
BLOODY ROBERT!
My grandmother worked in that building when it was Henderson's Hats.
Unfassbar 🧐 💥⚘️👐🌹💥
You could tell this was phoney when you see a senior rank member washing the pots. 😂😂. As if. One of the real benefits of promotion is no duty man or mess orderly duties. Other than that and the increase in pay it was a PITA. 😅
I could often predict when the bells would go down, usually within five minutes or so. On one occassion we were in the rec room and I stood up and said we're going out and within a couple of seconds the bells went down. Even I don't know why. I just seemed to hear the turnout sonar in my head just prior. It wasn't all the time and only on the one station of the seven I was stationed at in my career. A few strange things happened on that station I could never explain like chairs moving and a small cloud of mist floating in the mess room and it was a fairly modern station too with no particular history.
God I hate fires
🙄😳🫢
i love how u can see the string still

What are these buildings made of? Wood?
0:20 If that was in the states, the cop would have arrested the driver of that truck. He pulled out in front of the cop, even though the cop had the right of way. Never mind that in a fire the firefighters should have priority over the police.
This is why you don't vote LNP. They under-pay and under-equip our Fire Fighters. And they also allow for the construction of dangerous buildings that alight or collapse under much less significant stress than they should be expected to
Big fire…good video!
Great defense effort on saving other nearby buildings!
